About James Lee
James Lee's journey in the music industry has been marked by both highs and lows. Debuting as a bassist with Royal Pirates in 2011, he quickly gained recognition for his musical talent and stage presence. However, tragedy struck on June 10th, 2015, when an accident nearly led to the amputation of his left hand, leaving him unable to continue playing the bass. Despite the challenges, James persevered, briefly transitioning to playing synth with his other hand for his former band. However, as his health deteriorated further, he made the difficult decision to step away from Royal Pirates.
Nevertheless, James Lee's passion for music endured, leading him to explore new avenues within the industry. In recent years, he has found success in China, with several number-one hits under his belt, collaborating with renowned artists such as Jason Zhang and Angelababy. His versatility as a musician is evident in his extensive experience, having spent 13 years playing bass across various genres, including metal, indie rock, and K-pop. James has graced stages worldwide, from the iconic Van's Warped Tour to the prestigious Hyundai Card City Break, captivating audiences with his electrifying performances.
