Keeping good on their promise from 2022 to return next year, The Rose is back with a night to remember for Black Roses in Seattle.

On a warm Sunday evening, October 8, 2023, Seattle's Wamu Theater was set ablaze with the enchanting melodies and electrifying performances of none other than The Rose.

Organized by AEG Presents, The Rose Dawn to Dusk Tour 2023 in Seattle marked the second time in under a year the Korean rock band graced the United States with their presence. Comprising four immensely talented members—Woosung (vocals, guitar), Dojoon (keyboard), Hajoon (drums), and Jaehyeong (bass)—The Rose delivered an unforgettable evening of music, emotions, and pure artistic magic.

As the lights dimmed and the smoke rolled across the stage, The Rose emerged onstage to the electrifying cheers from the crowd. From the very first note of "Eclipse," it was evident that the night would be nothing short of extraordinary. The band effortlessly transitioned into "Dawn" and "You're Beautiful" off the group's latest album, Dual. To say the audience was completely captivated by the group's performance is an understatement, as they echoed the group's vibrant energy note for note.

Setlist Highlights

From the poignant rendition of "Definition of ugly is" to the enchanting vibes of "Beauty and the Beast" and the introspective journey of "Sour," The Rose's setlist was a masterfully curated mix of emotions and musicality. Much to my surprise and delight, the band treated their adoring fans (also known as Black Roses) to the cherished hit, "RED." The atmosphere was electric as Woosung's soul-stirring vocals washed over the audience, igniting cheers and heartwarming sing-alongs. The energy inside the venue reached its zenith during "Back to Me," with fans passionately belting out every lyric.

Throughout the night, The Rose sprinkled their setlist with nostalgic fan favorites, including the soulful ballad "She's in the Rain" and the infectious "Sorry." These moments captivated the entire audience, grooving and singing along in unison. As the closing notes of "Cosmo" and "Wonder" resonated through the air, the audience was left in awe of the band's impeccable musicianship and captivating showmanship.

Definition of Rockstars

The Rose's chemistry and musical prowess were nothing short of remarkable throughout the concert, captivating the hearts of every attendee with each melodious note. The band's unwavering passion and commitment to their craft were palpable, making for an unforgettable night. Whether it was Woosung's powerful vocals, Dojoon's mesmerizing keyboard skills, Hajoon's dynamic drumming, or Jaehyeong's rock-solid bass lines, every member contributed their unique talents to craft an exceptional sonic experience that will be cherished by fans for years to come.

No. 1 Emerging Artists on Billboard

Beyond the captivating performance, The Rose's journey leading up to this moment was a testament to their dedication and artistry. With the release of their second studio album, Dual, they achieved a remarkable feat, re-entering Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart at No. 1—a first for the band on any Billboard chart.

As The Rose bid farewell to their Seattle fans, it was clear that their music had forged a deep connection with everyone in attendance. Their unique blend of heartfelt lyrics, masterful instrumentals, and powerful vocals left an indelible mark on the city, and it was a night that no one would soon forget. The Rose's journey had come full circle, and their future as a band looked brighter than ever before.
